About Anna

Hi, I’m Anna — a visual creator with 25 years of professional photography experience, now helping modern small businesses show up consistently (and beautifully) online.

For many years, I co-ran BK Studios with my amazing friend and fellow creative, Rebecca Kirstein. Together, we built a business rooted in strong visuals, collaboration, and community. These days, I’m back to being a one-woman studio — and loving the chance to work closely and personally with each of my clients.

I offer custom photography, video, and light brand strategy — all tailored to you and your business goals. As your photographer, videographer, planner, and creative sounding board all in one, I take the time to understand the heart behind what you do so your content feels like you — polished, personable, and built to connect.

I’m highly organized (Google Docs are my love language), and I thrive on creating shoots that are not just beautiful but genuinely helpful for your brand. You can focus on what you do best — I’ll handle the visuals that help your business grow.

Outside of client work, I love a good creative challenge — especially if it involves gardens, stories, or chickens. In 2022, inspired by my love of all things gardening (and my endlessly entertaining backyard flock), I filmed, edited, and produced an 8-part documentary series with TELUS StoryHive called Backyard Chicken Chats. It was a total passion project where I interviewed local women who also raise backyard chickens and shared their hilarious, heartfelt, and delightfully feathered lives.

When I’m not behind the camera, I’m soaking up the rhythm of daily life with my husband Steve, our two kids, a soulful chocolate lab, and a flock of chatty backyard chickens. Mornings start with school runs and the smell of fresh sourdough, afternoons drift between garden beds and quiet dog walks, and evenings often end with tacos, stories, and a good book in hand. Our little urban farm is full of chaos and charm — and it fills me with the kind of joy I love to bring to my work.

If you’re a small business looking for content that feels aligned, authentic, and actually useful — let’s make something great together.
